President Goodluck Jonathan has turned down the request to sign an
agreement with South-west leaders on the forthcoming elections, reports Punch.
The
leaders including monarchs from the zone had during various meetings
with President Jonathan requested and demanded that the President offer
certain positions to the geo-political zone.
They also demanded that he signs a binding agreement to this effect.
Jonathan is, however, reluctant to sign any agreement with the leaders or any group from the zone.
President
Jonathan is only disposed to specifying the positions he would give the
zone if he emerges victorious in the March 28 presidential election.
