The rapper and Mr Kim Kardashian performed his new single All Day on the Brits stage and although producers attempted to mute his song, which he famously said was inspired by the London riots, they couldn't hide the faces of the audience.
Kanye's expletive-ridden lyrics dumbfounded Taylor Swift and Lionel Richie and weren't quite sure how to behave in front of the cameras.
Kanye was performing with British grime artists Skepta, Krept and Konan, Jammer and Novelist, and was heard saying the N-word at least three times despite the channel's best attempt at muting.
Although for some people ITV's attempts at censoring the rapper were just plain annoyining.
"What was the point of Kanye performing if they just auto muted most of his lyrics?" asked one viewer.
Another viewer, tweeting as Shukat1, said: "Why have Kanye if you're just gonna censor the performance?"
Jonathan Ross tweeted: "Am watching the Brits. Is my tv faulty or is someone a little trigger happy with the bleep button?"
But some viewers saw the funny side, with one tweeting: "I love this Kanye song, "Muted Dinner Party Chat." #brits".
Another added: "The Brit award for 'Most Pointless Performance of the Year' goes to Audio Muted by Kanye West."
