Apple has enlisted a number of hot stars to help launch their music
streaming service which includes Beats 1 Radio. Rappers Eminem and Drake
as well as singers like Pharrell Williams and Elton John are among the
lineup for the upcoming event.
Eminem will be Zane Lowe's first interview on Beats 1 Radio. The Slim
Shady is expected to discuss his music in movie "Southpaw" and his
experience as a boxer. The New Zealand DJ who previously worked for BBC
Radio 1 already teased the segment on Twitter.
Starting June 30, the new radio station will also roll out programs
featuring the likes of Drake, Pharrell, Sir Elton, Dr. Dre, St. Vincent,
Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), Disclosure, and Jaden Smith.
Details are still scarce but New York Times reports Sir Elton will host
"Elton John's Rocket Hour" and Dr. Dre's show is called "The Pharmacy".
