Policewoman,Students Arrested For Beating Ex-husband To Death In Delta

The police in Ogwashi Uku, Delta State, have arrested a policewoman and three students for allegedly beating her former husband, who was also a policeman, to death.
The woman, identified as Helen, was said to be married to the victim before they parted ways a few years ago.
Tribune Online gathered that the man, identified as Kelechi and serving in another state, visited the community last week to supervise his housing project.
It was further gathered that on Thursday last week, while entertaining some friends at a drinking joint in Umokwe, Ogwashi Uku, he saw one of his children and followed him to the house where the mother lives.

On getting to the house, the woman was said to have raised an alarm, calling the man a kidnapper. The alarm got the attention of some occupants of the house.

Following the alarm, some persons, including students living in the building, attacked the man. It was gathered that one of those at the scene later went inside, brought out a hammer and hit the man on the head.
The policeman was said to have died when he was being taken to the hospital.
