A former speaker of the Ondo state House of Assembly, Victor
Olabintan, has been kidnapped. The Secretary of the Olabintan Campaign Organization,
Mr. Gboyega Ajayi raised the alarm through a telephone conversation to
journalists this afternoon.
According to Gboyega, Olabintan was kidnapped on his way to
Abuja from Akure. He was kidnapped at kwali after he was flagged down at a
military checkpoint by fake soldiers who turned out to be kidnappers.
This is coming just 48 hours after he declared his intention to vie for the All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship ticket in Ondo State.
