Eleven Albino Elephants from Thailand's ancient capital of
Ayutthaya,during a procession for his burial in Bangkok, today, Tuesday
November 8, 2016, knelt in respect for the country's late king Bhumibol
Adulyadej, who died in October 13th, 2016.
The elephants and about 200 handlers marched in parade to the glittering
Grand Palace of the late king, before the animals crouched down on
their kneels for the observation of a one-minute silence, in memory of
the late king, who died last month, aged 88, after 70 years on the
throne.
Thailand has been plunged into grief since after the
King's death while an extended one year mourning period is held
throughout the country in respect to the late king. More pictures after
