Family Announces Burial Programme For Slain Ex-FUTA’s VC

The family of murdered former Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA, Professor Albert Ilemobade, yesterday, announced a 10-day burial programme, the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has called for justice.
A burial programme announced by the family of the deceased indicated that he would be committed to mother earth on July 30 in Ondo, his home town.

According to the programme, his lying-in-state will hold at his residence along Gani Fawehinmi Street, off Ademulegun Road in Ondo and a Christian wake on the July 29 at the Oba Adesanoye Civic Centre in Ondo, while funeral service and interment will hold at All Saints’ Anglican Church, Ogbonkowo area in Ondo on July 30.
A reception will follow at Oba Adesanoye Civic Centre in Ondo, while a thanksgiving service will hold on Sunday at All Saints’ Anglican Church, Ondo on August 2.
Meanwhile, FUTA branch of ASUU, at a briefing, called for justice, saying “we are moved to lament the loss of a revered academic to such a cheap, evil and cruel death.
“We are calling for adequate and appropriate justice on anyone and everyone found to have a hand in the death of Professor Albert Adeoye Ilemobade. Let due justice be served duly.”
